I came to know Renal after a very upsetting IEP meeting for our 7 year old son who is ASD, OCD, ADHD along with a high level of sensory challenges.  As I stood in the school parking lot in tears, scared and heartbroken for our son, Renal hugged me and invited me to her “office”, which was in her car at that time.  Renal listened and empathized with me for hours it seemed.  I left Renal’s office that day with a pocket full of knowledge and confidence that truly changed our lives.  Renal helped our family with resources for Occupational Therapy, for IEP’s, for therapy, for what is allowed in schools and what is not allowed.  My husband and I are “older” parents and we were just going with the flow of what we were told.  Renal has been our guide and resource for the last two years and we are incredibly grateful to have met her on that day.  Renal has been instrumental in setting up support groups for parents like us, doing all the research and digging while putting it in terms we can fully appreciate and understand.  My husband (Rob) and I would highly recommend Renal’s services if you are struggling…..Renal knows the laws, regulations, and where to go!  Thank you Renal.  We love you so much. XOXO

Renal has been an amazing knowledge source for our family as we navigate raising and educating neurodiverse kids in the public school system. With her guidance, I was able to confidently secure a 504 accommodation for my daughter that helped her feel significantly more comfortable in the classroom. While we ultimately chose to homeschool our children, Renal has helped me feel more equipped to advocate for my kids should we move to a traditional school environment. It's great to know we have options! Additionally, using her background as an OT, she's shared practical tools for working with our children in our home classroom that I put to use every day. I enthusiastically recommend Renal to any parent who may be feeling lost on how to best support their neurodiverse kiddos.

Renal has been an incredible resource for my family as we suspected and then received neurodiverse identifications for both of my children. She has an unyielding passion to help neurodivergent families, and when coupled with her experience and knowledge as an occupational therapist, the support she provides has no comparison. I am impressed with the way Renal continues to educate herself by staying current on the latest research and pursuing ongoing training and certifications. Renal also has strong knowledge of care providers and specialists in Orange County and offers clear direction on "next steps" for parents who feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start. Renal's support has been a game changer for my family, and we are so thankful for her!

We are incredibly thankful to know Renal. She has patiently educated and guided us as we continue to learn about our neurodiverse children, and how to best help them. Renal has always been there to provide an ear, give incredible advice, and equip us with knowledge to empower us to advocate for our children. Her ability to effect change in the educational system will surely be profound, as she has shown how she tirelessly continues to learn and share what she has learned with all who need it. We whole heartedly recommend her to anyone needing support parenting their neurodivergent child.

The only regret we have with Renal is not meeting her sooner.  We finally got her help after struggling for several years, and it feels like we are finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

She has helped the entire process and followed up and guided us each step of the way, always there to answer any questions I may have.  She is on our team all the way and has the neuro affirming language to help us navigate this entire process.

If you have a neurodiverse child, this is the woman you want in your corner! Renal is a passionate and fearless advocate for neurodiverse children and their parents. When my child was struggling in school and I was experiencing daily anxiety and stress (along with emails and phone calls from the school), Renal was there to offer her invaluable wisdom and loving support. Her daily check-ins asking how things were going made me feel so much less alone at a time when I was feeling very isolated in dealing with my son’s challenges. She gave me the confidence I needed to advocate for what my son deserved, rather than feeling like I was asking favors from the school. She helped me step out of shame and helplessness and view my child in a new light. She is an endless well of wisdom and is one of the only providers I have worked with who is completely up-to-date with the research and best practices. I highly recommend Renal’s services - she will give you a comprehensive understanding of what you need to best support your child; often times a provider will see things only through their professional lens, but Renal is able to give direction and advice to help your child holistically and understands how to find the best providers in many different arenas (psychological support, OT, Speech, Biomedical, etc). She has created a safe and welcoming community for parents of neurodiverse children and given us access to an incredible line-up of knowledgeable professionals. Thank you, Renal!
